Quick Escape

A raccoon fled as someone entered the garage and pressed the button to open the garage door.  The raccoon jumps through the cat door even as it starts to rise.

Under and Over

This black and white cat went under the fence into our yard . . . . . . and, two minutes later, over the fence from our neighbor’s yard back into the field.

Digging for Bugs

A raccoon comes under the fence from the field and digs for bugs in the dirt. Standing on hind legs, it views something in the distance, then two other raccoons come and pass under the fence into the field.

Where Did All the Water Go?

Now that most of the snow has melted and temperatures are above freezing, I put some water behind our playhouse, where the raccoons like to pass under the fence. After washing its hands, one raccoon tries to steal the dish, then wonders what happened to all the water.

Deer at Fence

With the raccoons staying in their dens because of the snow, our next sighting is a deer on the other side of the fence.

Indecisive Cal

Cal climbs the tree from the field, then hesitates at the top of the fence. Like the raccoons, he probably wanted to use the tires leaning against the fence to help on the way down. Snow covering everything apparently made him re-think his destination. After surveying his options, Cal returns to the field.
